TEST D'ÉVALUATION DU FRANÇAIS
The TEF is an official French language test used to determine a person’s level of knowledge and proficiency in the language. This is the official Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris' proficiency test often used for university entrance purposes.
The official TEF Attestation shows the distribution of scores for each module taken along with detailed comments for the different competencies.
It is the candidate's responsibility to select all modules that are required.

Details
It consists of the following three modules.
QCM
The three parts of the "QCM" portion of the test must be taken as a whole and is based on multiple choice questions.
Grades are given for each part.
Compréhension écrite: 60 min / 50 questions Compréhension orale: 40 min / 60 questions Lexique et structure: 30 min / 40 questions
Expression Orale
EO is evaluated through a role-play that demonstrates the know-how and expertise in real-life situations.
Section A: gather information, ask questions
Section B: present a document, assess, compare and convince your friend in an informal conversation.
Expression Écrite
The written expression portion of the test has 2 sections with an alloted time of 60 minutes.
Section A: Read the beginning of a press article and continue the article.
Section B: Express your point of view on a sentence taken from a newspaper and use aurguments to defend it.
Registration
A valid copy of your passport or permanent resident card is required.

Places are limited and are reserved on a first come, first served basis.
- Please verify your choice of modules before registering as all fees are non-refundable.
- No changes will be permitted.
- Candidates must respect a two-month wait period between two test dates. If this 60-day period is not respected, the test fees will be lost as there are no refunds nor changes possible.
