TEST D'ÉVALUATION DU FRANÇAIS POUR L'ACCÈS AU QUÉBEC
The Test d’Évaluation de Français pour l’accès au Québec (TEFAQ) is a general French test which mesures the level of knowledge and competencies in French oral and written comprehension as well as expression.
The TEFAQ is recognized by le Ministère de l’Immigration de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion (MIDI) of Quebec for official immigration purposes.
The official TEFAQ Attestation shows the distribution of scores for each module taken along with detailed comments for the different competencies.
It is the candidate's responsibility to select all modules that they require.

Details
The TEFAQ is used mainly for Quebec immigration purposes requiring a B2 level (upper intermediate).
Each module may be taken independently.
The TEFAQ, used to assess your oral and written competencies in French, consists of the following 4 modules.
Compréhension Orale
CO reflects real-life situations: conversations, extracts from radio programs, public announcements, etc.
There are 60 multiple choice questions - 40 minutes
Computer-based, candidates have individual headsets.
Expression Orale
EO is evaluated through a role-play that demonstrates the know-how and expertise in real-life situations.
Section A: gather information, ask questions
Section B: present a document, assess, compare and convince your friend
Compréhension Écrite
CE is composed of 4 sections 50 questions
Timed at 50 minutes
A: who, what, where, when, why
B: understand details
C: understand the logic
D: understand the general meaning of the text
Expression Écrite
This part of the exam has a 60-minute time limit.
Section A: Read the beginning of a press article and continue the article.
Section B: Express your point of view and use arguments to defend it.
Registration
Registration is possible online only.
A valid copy of your passport, driver's license, or permanent residence card is required at the time of registration.

Once we receive your application, we will send you an invoice.
Payment must be made by credit card or Interact within 24 hours of receipt of the invoice in order to reserve your examination date.
For Interac payments please use: etransfer@point3.com and state your invoice number in the message box.
Places are limited and are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Please check your choice of modules before registering as no fees are refundable.
- No changes will be allowed.
- Candidates must respect a one-month waiting period between exam dates. If this 31-day waiting period is not respected, the examination fee will be forfeited as there will be no refunds or changes.

no other ID is accepted)
ARRIVE a minimum of 15 minutes before the scheduled exam time
or you will not be permitted to take the test and there will be no refunds possible.
