E-TEF INTÉGRATION, RÉSIDENCE et NATIONALITÉ
The TEF Intégration, Résidence, Nationalité is recognised by the French Ministry for the Interior and is indispensable for anyone applying to the French State for a resident card or a naturalisation.
It is designed to measure the level of oral/written comprehension and oral/written expression in French.
The four modules MUST be taken on the same day.
** Note: This test is not used for Quebec or Canada immigration purposes.
CO reflects real-life situations: conversations, extracts from radio programs, public announcements, etc.
There are 17 multiple choice questions - 10 minutes
Computer-based, candidates have individual headsets.
Section A - Helping a Friend Make a Decision
Section B - Making a request and asking questions about services
Total time: 10 minutes. Each section lasts 5 minutes.
CE is composed of 13 multiple-choice questions
Timed at 30 minutes
A: who, what, where, when, why
B: understand details
C: understand the logic
D: understand the general meaning of the text
Section A: writing a message to check in
Section B : to present one's motivations to convince
Total time: 30 minutes for both sections.
Tip: 10 minutes for section A and 20 minutes for section B.
Registration is possible online only.
A valid copy of your passport, driver's license, or permanent residence card is required at the time of registration.

Once we receive your application, we will send you an invoice.
Payment must be made by credit card or Interact within 24 hours of receipt of the invoice in order to reserve your examination date.
For Interac payments please use: firstname.lastname@example.org and state your invoice number in the message box.
Places are limited and are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Please check your choice of modules before registering as no fees are refundable.
- No changes will be allowed.
- Candidates must respect a 31-day waiting period between exam dates. If this 31-day waiting period is not respected, the examination fee will be forfeited as there will be no refunds or changes.
On Exam Day

no other ID is accepted)
ARRIVE a minimum of 15 minutes before the scheduled exam time
or you will not be permitted to take the test and there will be no refunds possible.
